Museum of Transport and Communications

Located on the banks of the River Douro, next to Porto's historic city center, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Transport and Communications Museum (MTC) occupies the historic building of Oporto Customs House, one of the most emblematic buildings in City. Museum of Contemporary Art of Serralves

The Serralves Museum project, work of the architect Álvaro Siza began in 1991. In 1999, the new building was opened, harmoniously integrated with the urban surroundings and the pre-existing spaces of the Park and House gardens. Visiting the Museum is always more than visiting its exhibitions, it is also discovering the particularities of each space that composes this architectural work.

Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha

In the center of Massarelos is the Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha, surrounded by a green area of gardens of the Crystal palace. Located in front of the Douro River, in a strategic panoramic position. It was in this house that the exiled king of Sardinia and the prince of Piedmont, Carlos Alberto of Savoy-Carignano, settled down, passing his last days and died 28 of July of 1849. Of this monarch was the granddaughter Maria Pia, one of the the last queens of Portugal.

Nacional Museum Soares dos Reis
